  1. I am thinking of replacing my current version (1.6.2) of SpyBot.

Can anyone recommend Malwarebytes? How is it on system resources? (Resource hog?) Any trouble areas with the program? Would there be a conflict if I left SpyBot on the system?

Any and all info would be appreciated and helpful.

    Thanks

    Scott

I can definitely vouch for the use of Malwarebytes. It has cleaned hundreds of computers at the shop I work at, and the forum even suggests it (Along with ComboFix, BleepingComputers) all suggest the use of this program. It is very simple, and very powerful against infections, without harming your system.

    Scott,

MalwareBytes is an excellent product. In today's spyware/malware world, A Single Solution is NOT Enough - we recommend running at least 2 product such as MalwareBytes AND SUPERAntiSpyware. They are great products and run well together with no conflicts.

You should also run an anti-virus solution as well.
