How to control the order in which XP services start
In a Linux system, rc.d/init.d controls which services get started and in which specific order.
I would like the same control for XP. Under the CP->Admin,
the Services allow IF and HOW a service starts, but not when.
Reading MS Knowlede Base articles, leads to a boot-time control that disables
all inbound connections until the firewall starts. There is no control to make
the firewall start any sooner.
Starting in the order listed would bogus, as Alerter and Automatic updates would
start even before Event Log and ISSEC
Any Ideas?
