how to edit the boot.ini file?

    how edit the "boot" file for starting up windows xp first ....?? Please can anybody help me ..??

    I forgotten to thel that i have installed ubuntu.... and the bootloader from tis OS...
    so read my other thread ...

    If you mean your using the GRUB bootloader -

    The GRUB boot menu configuration is in the file
    /boot/grub/menu.ls

    Change the default =0

    to default =1

    If you mean your using XPs loader -

    You have to add Ubuntu to the boot.ini HERE (if you haven`t already)

    then to change the boot order, see HERE
