i built my athlon 64 machine a year ago, when DDR 2 was brand spanking new, so DDR2 was effing expensive. i got 2gb of corsair XMS2 series, but i don't know the latency. Looking at the packaging that its in now, i still can't tell. i typed in the item number on google, and it gave me 2 different sets of RAM, one with CAS latency of 4, and one with 5.

I'm going to build a new Core 2 Quad machine after intel's pricedrop, but i don't know what my RAM latency is as of now, so i don't know if i need to bother upgrading it.

do you know how to find RAM latency through windows somehow, or possibly through some software?
