How to identify a cpu 3.0ghz HT

i bought a cpu off of ebay and im gona pick it up tomorrow 3.0GHZ HT what i need to know is if all P4s will say pentium 4 on the chip if not what are some signs that its the chip i bought i dont wan to get ripped off!! is there any way to tell if its a fake being passed on as a p4 i mean like its p3 but in the p4 box idk can anybody help need to know today asap thank you ver much

The cpu you should say p4 on it.

All p4 cpus @ 3ghz are HT enabled

It should say HT on the cpu too.

Out of the past 1000 or so retail P4's I've used, not a single one had HT on the die itself. Where have you seen that?
