How to identify chipset (HP xt983)

Visiting the HP website gives me two sets of specifications for the xt983: one for general specs and one for the motherboard:

    motherboard specs
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/...&product=62773&lang=en&cc=us&docname=bph07900

    general specs
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/...&product=62773&lang=en&cc=us&docname=bph06794

One tells me that the chipset is via KL 133 and the other says via KM 133. I'm trying to reinstall drivers on this HP computer, having wiped the system to install Win 98. The only thing I lack (aside from the AC97 audio, which I know I can find) is the display/video driver(s). I've been working on the video alone for the past month without success.

If I can figure out which chipset is correct, I might have a better chance of solving this problem. Although I have to admit that I've already tried to install the kl133 display driver and it refused to install from the .exe. Any ideas or help would be appreciated.
