    1) Did it also install an application? Click Programs and take a look through the list if any new application programs might have shown up. Try running it

    2) You might also try installing it on a different computer running the same version of Windows to see if it might be a problem with the cam or the specific computer...

    webcam

    I have this webcam: completelyonlinetestserver. com/ images/ cameraFECL.gif

Got this picture via completelyonlinetestserver .com/html/CO_customer_support.html. The driver there however does not work; A yellow question mark appears in the device manager. Any idea on how to solve this would be great.

    I'm using Windows 7.

    Hardware id:
    USB\VID_04FC&PID_0561&REV_0000
    USB\VID_04FC&PID_0561

    Hi vixenmail

The problem is that's an old web cam. I do find drivers for it but they're dated back around 2002 and are for Windows 2000 and XP. Looks like the vendor never created Vista or Win 7 compatible drivers for that cam. (Part of it probably being they didn't want to go through the "hardware and software" compatibility process for that cam that started when Vista came out) Sorry :(

Ah ok too bad. Where did you find xp drivers? Perhaps I can use it on an old xp machine.

If you're running XP (or virtual XP -see below) download here. Then unzip the file to your desktop and run the Setup.exe file to install. Then connect your webcam (you may also need to reboot)

If you are running Win 7 Professional (or higher), Win 7 supports a "virtual XP" window. You can also try installing and try using it within "virtual XP mode".

    Good luck!

I got a problem.. I followed all the steps but I only came up with one Hardware ID..

    USB\VID_OC45&PID_6029\5&19448E6D&0&10

I cannot find this ANYWHERE. Any help appreciated. I'm pretty sure its a Creative or Logitech webcam..can't be overly sure though.

    Hi SilverWRM

Just happened to be online and saw your post.. What version of Windows are you running? And fyi (and for anyone else reading)

When one searches on Hardware ID, you want to omit anything including and after the second "\" in the string. So for your case, one should only search for the part of the string shown below in red

    USB\VID_OC45&PID_6029\5&19448E6D&0&10

Tho searching on USB\VID_OC45&PID_6029 only takes me to a Russian website (and of course one should still be careful of what they download.) But there are some telling clues there. I'll look further but may take a day or two till i get back to you (but do tell me your Windows version)

XP! Thank you!! I too only found the russian site..and after translating on google..it was the wrongg one.
I'm an 18 year old girl living in a dorm waiting for college to start..I live about 18 hours from my family, so any help would be appreciated! I really want to communicate with them..
    THANKS :D

    OMG SilverWRM!!!

I just realized the problem with the Hardware ID in your post!!

I'm guessing you probably copied the string from Device Manager by hand because i just happened to see you converted a "0" (zero) to the letter "O"!

So your Hardware ID is really: USB\VID_0C45&PID_6029\5&19448E6D&0&10

And then your search string for drivers should be: USB\VID_0C45&PID_6029

Try this download here then unpack and run the executable

Hope this works! (let us know) :)

    /* edit */
Funny too because the Russian website must have the same typo in the string!

    /* edit 2 */
Fixed typo word "unload" to "run" referring to the executable

Hahaha it was such a pain to copy it out! And yes I did do it by hand :p

Let's see if it works :) Thank you@@

    Help, please?

    Sorry to bother you..
I have a cheap USB webcam I bought from 5Below. It came with an installation CD, but while being shipped overseas, the CD was lost.

The name of the device is 49052 Camera, by Iconcepts by Sakar. (Sakar's web-help page didn't even show the device...)

The device number (as far as I can tell--the OS I'm using now is in Chinese and I can't read Chinese!) is:

    Vid_093&Pid_2600&Rev_0100
    Vid_093&Pid_2600

or I don't know what this is, but it looks similar:
    VID_093A&PID_2600\5&ID81560&0&1

When I connected it in the US, it said "PC VGA Camera". In Asia, the computer says "USB Single Chip". I think it's just language differences though.

I've tried the method of looking up the device IDs, but I'm not sure if I'm doing it incorrectly or this camera is just particularly peculiar. Help, please? Many thanks in advance.

    Hi belovedfalling

I'll take a look and see what i might find over next couple days... What version of Windows are you running? (XP? Vista? Win 7?)

    /* edit */
You also must've missed a character in those first two IDs (because there must be four characters after VID_(e.g. VID_xxxx). So i'm proceeding on the assumption that the important Hardware IDs for your machine are USB\Vid_093&Pid_2600&Rev_0100 and USB\VID_093A&PID_2600

That might also be why you couldn't find anything if you were searching for the wrong IDs. In any case, I'll take a look :)

    driver for unknown web cam

    Hi all,

I am looking a driver for a web cam.
The hardware ID thread is as follows:

    USB\VID_ABCD&PID_CDEE&REV_0100

I also searched by running msinfo32 command and "Problem Device" category showed me the PNP device ID as follows:

    USB\VID_ABCD&PID_CDEE\5&1379238D&0&1

Please let me know if anyone know about this.
    Thanks in advance !

    Hi mune

    Sorry i don't have a solution for you :(

Best i could do was find some evidence this is a Petcam (?) and i'm not 100% sure of that either. But when i look for drivers I don't find any download site or download file i'd trust :suspiciou

In fact, i think most of the sites that come up are bogus trying to sell you drivers or driver "analyzers"... So, if you look further yourself, be careful of what you download.

I'd really apreciate it if you could help me, I don't know what else to do. Thanks a lot.
