How to install ram?

Is it just i plug it into the motherboard, and that is it?
Or is there some settings i have to change in the bios?

My machine is an emachines T4150

what software-end settings i have to change or modify for it to work ok

just plug it in, remeber to discharge your self first before touching the ram, by touching the metal part of the pc case, cause you may damage the chip if you dont, try not to walk around alot before you install it.

Also remember to unplug the power before you start.
You might run into trouble if you are adding more RAM, instaed of replacing. Some sticks are incompatible with each other, but you won't find that out until you try.
