How to optimize XP Home for Dual Core use?

Hi All,

I'm running a Pentium D 3.0 Ghz with 2 Gigs. of Dual Channel RAM.

I'd like to know what, if anything, can be done with XP Home (SP2) to optimize its use of the system. I realize this is a broad question, so any suggestions are welcome.

I've seen posts about a special MS Hotfix made for those who have dual core systems, but I don't think it is available for my OS language (Chinese) .

Any help or pointers most welcome,
