    All,

I have a customer with a frsutrating problem. He woke up a few days ago and found his Ouutlook 2007 pst file missing. He's running Vista. We can do a search and see the e-mail and other info from the missing PST file but Vista doesn't tell us where it's located. We checked his AppData/local/Microsoft/Outlook folder and there is no Outlook.pst file. Also his Archive.pst is missing. Yet, search is showing his old e-mail.

Any suggestions? He's in a panic! His business is on the line.

the profile area on XP \documents and settings\login-id\
was changed on Vista to \users\login-id\

Outlook PST files (on xp) were in
    login-id\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\

you may need to force Local Settings to be visible

As I wrote, I know where the Outlook.pst and Archive.pst files are supposed to be, <userid>/local/AppData/Microsoft/Outlook but they're not there. Yet, when we do a search on the word "Outlook", Vista dsiplays all his old e-mail and other Outlook data but does't say where it found it. He's anxious to get his info back. If you know where else Outlook 2007 caches it's data on Vista, please let us know.
