How to setup a Fast Boot Safely in XP

  1. Can anyone tell me how to safely setup a Fast Boot for WindowsXP Home
    Edition, also is there any chance of corrupting files while doing the Bootup
    in this manner?

    fast boot? Do you mean turning off self-test in BIOS? That has nothing to do with XP. Other than that - see the speed up your PC guide in the guides forum.

    You could also go into msconfig and uncheck any programs that are set to run at start-up. This will increase boot up time.
