Is msmsgs.exe msn? Cause i would close it and it always comes back.. i want it gone!!.. i tryed looking it under msconfig and startup but its not there.. anyone know where to uninstall this thing?

If you down load Adaware there is a couple of plugins you can get to block msn and stop it from running. http://www.lavasoft.de/

msnmsgr.exe is the msn messenger 6.2 program. I think you picked up a virus or trojan somewhere. Also it could be the older one. If it is an older version of msn messenger you could disable it from starting it on Windows startup by unchecking one of the boxes in the extra's menu in the messenger program itself.

Hello Mindspin I think you`ll find that msmsgs.exe is in fact msn messenger and not a virus.
