  1. This is my first build.
    MoBo-Asus A8V-SE Socket 939
    AMD Athlon64 3700+
Crucial ATI Radeon X700 256MB Video PCI Express DVI Graphics Card
    100gb Hitachi Deskstar HD
1-2g of RAM(brand to be determended later)
Sound card to be determende but I lean towards a creative SB 5.1 set up.

It's not a bad system. Will play most games on medium-high settings quite comfortably. For a sound card, try the new Diamond 7.1DDL card on Newegg. It's very cheap and has almost all the features of the Creative X-Fi.

Seems like a solid system. But I would reccomend going AM2 because of the lower prices on memory.

The Video card you choose is fine yet I would say shoot for something more like an eVGA e-GeForce 7600 GT. There about 100 Dollars. Great budget choice video card.

If you already have some of the parts like the Video Card and what not, then just go with your currend line up. It will play most games just fine.
