HP 15 laptop - slow internet browsing

Hi,
Browsing the internet is so painfully slow. Have tried the basics (CCleaner, Malwarebytes, Disk Defrag, and some other suggestions/tweaks I found online can't remember the exact steps to write here)

Open to any advice/suggestions. I am sure you will need some information from my end but I am not sure what kind but here's some:
MS Windows Home 10
HP 15 Notebook PC
x64-based PC
AMD E1-2100 APU with Radeon(TM) HD graphics, 1000 mhz, 2 Cores

So when I try to open Speedtest, my laptop shows underlined words on the upper left corner and a black white screen. On my room-mates it fully loads the page.

ROOM-MATES speed test: Ping 67, Download speed .72 mbps, upload .37mbps.
