    Hi,
I am currently working in a help desk type position, and I have a customer who is having problems with his scanner. Every time he scans a document, it comes out slightly crooked and the left side of the scan is extremely faded. I have already tried to clean out the scanner, but that hasn't helped at all. If anyone has any suggestions, I would really appreciate it. Thank you.

    Welcome to TechSpot

I would say the lamp in that scanner is a goner.
Also possible that someone opened the scanner and left fingerprints on the lamp...

It is probably cheaper to buy a new scanner (from Canon or Epson, rather than HP).

    Thank you.

    That was very helpful.
