11145: password asphor
Hi all, hope someone can help. I have an HP NX9010 bought as part of a work sell off so no proof of ownership so cannot go the HP route.

All three passwords were set, I cleared two of them (which I knew) thinking that would be ok as I had never been asked for an admin password, however I didn't have access to clear the admin password, nor change the "password required on boot" field. Seems I was wrong, I'm still being asked for a password on boot or to get into the BIOS, but the old user password no longer works, hitting enter doesn't work so I'm a bit stuck.

I've tried the advertised Phoenix backdoors, I've tried the BIOS_PW.exe to no avail.

Can anyone help? System Hash Code is 11145.

Hello Everyone!! Please Help

I have a Dell Lat D-620 that I bought from a individual, I need the Hard drive PW.
I called dell and was able to get to the Bios but could not get any further because it tells me that I need the Hard Drive PW. The tech told me to try the same PW for Hard Drive, Still does not work, Is there any thing or place I can go to get the PW. When I try to boot Windows XP to the system, it gets a few minutes into the setup and then goes back to the "This hard drive is password protected, please enter the pw before proceeding.

Please Help!!

THanks for everything you guys, Have a Great Day!!!!!!!

James

Can you help me? I'm looking for help with my Inspiron 2600. It asks for a password when I start it. It says "Enter Primary Master HDD User Password" and displays the s/n of the drive. If I go into setup as soon as I power up, it says "Enter Password" and displays the Service Num.

Moderator Edit:
And you seem to be having trouble knowing what you have!

Dell latitude D630... I have looked everywhere!
.

I have a dell latitude D620.with a bios password on it.could not get it broke. seems one site could but for $90.00.was almost ready to pay it so I figured maybe try dell one more time.this time with live chat.got the registration transfered then got a service tech in the support area told him my problem and just like that he came back with a code .but the 1st one didn't work.but the
2nd one did. no $50.00 or $60.00 just boom the whole thing took only 1/2 hour. from all the horror stories i have heard i thought i was dreaming.no it's true,my latitude D620 is up and running.thanks for all of your help and support and to kimsland he's the one kept on saying
dell dell and they did it..thanks again all

I have an HP Pavilion N5420 notebook with the Phoenix 4 bios. I wanted to remove the setup password and now nothing works. Could I please get some help with this.
The Hash code is 10456

Thank a lot!

Thanks, WinRAR worked. I tried bios_pw and unlock6 but they did not give me the needed PW for hash code 10456. Any other suggestions?

?

You mean Unlock6 made in 1997 didn't help !?
Anyway, did you try the other 2 Made in 2003? (seeming that's about when your computer was made).

By the way, I'm pretty sure you'll reply with that didn't work either (call it a good feeling ;))

Here's the post again though, as there's lots of free methods for Dell customers in there: https://www.techspot.com/vb/post610782-4.html

As for HP really old laptop, I'm sure someone will post a pass for you for free.
But definitely read this entire thread (and possibly older ones) As you might even find more help.

TechSpot is only FREE and Manufacture help. So if you get approached by anyone to pay, on TechSpot, please remember that these users (who will likely get banned) are offering highest price, and that's why they post here to unsuspecting and putting it bluntly - ignorant members.

If you do want to pay, Shop Around, ie Google or eBay, again TechSpot does not support this method ever.

They did not work either. I have been looking around and it looks like that was my best chance. Thanks for the help.

I have gotten my password by other means, so please no one waste your time on my request. At the advice of Kimsland, I 'shopped around' and got a password overnight. Maybe I am just impatient, but I now no longer have a paper weight, I have a working laptop. Thanks!

update on my d620. got a disk failure in windows, wanted to back up info .called dell new hard drive will be here on Tuesday. it seems all that talk about dell service being so bad isn't true.
thumbs up for dell's service techs.
