Hp Dvd Rw

    I have a HP DVD RW. I was originally using it in a GW E4200 (800 MHz) machine w/ no problems. When I moved it to a faster machine, it gets no power. Other CD drives get power from same cables w/ no problem. Any ideas?

    Double check your jumpers, make sure the IDE cable is inserted properly and unplug any extra devices. (hard disk, CDROMs).. The door should at least open. If by "no power" you mean it isn't detected, then that is a little more common and is probably jumpers or system configuration.

    If it still does not work, then I would try putting it back into the other system to verify it still works.
