Hi all,

I purchased a ethernet card and installed it successfully. Went to do a restore on the system and I keep getting an error message that some files may not have been installed. Either disk is corrupt or cd drive not working, and I know that the drive is working, the last time i used the restore it was working. Now I can not even get past safe mode, it goes to that then once I try to boot up in safe mode it shuts down.

Any suggestions?

the HP recovery/restore CDs are USELESS. HP execs know they can make extra money if they force the consumers to send their machines back. i reccomend you get yourself a real copy of XP and install that.
