I have an HP PSC1310 printer fitted with tri-colour (C6657) and photo-colour (C6658) cartridges. The printing of black is starting to fade and the diagnostics are telling me to replace the tri-colour, but the black ink is in the photo-colour cartidge. HP confirm this is the correct thing to do but don't seem to want to explain to me why; when the black ink is in the other cartridge.
