Huawei E173 USB modem causing Windows 7 32-bit to crash

Hi i used a a Huawei E173 usb modem for the first time 2 days ago. with a few seconds of downloading, the BSOD appeared. I'm not sure what the issue could be. I have tried switching the usb port(front and rear), I also checked the modem's driver. they are up to date.

I don't see any attached files... Are the Huawei's drivers for Windows 7 32-bit, or are they generic?
