Hubs and uplinks

Is it necessary for a hub to have an uplink to spread internet service to other computers? I have a wireless router connected to the modem. I am not using the wireless function as of now. The router has four ports in the back that I plan to use. Three of them have already been connected to individual computers with no problem. The fourth needs to go to a room that has a peer-to-peer network. The hub that is there does not have an uplink port. Can anyone give advise on how to get the network connected without getting new hardware?

Home routers are able to detect and switch between crossover and normal so you can run any cable to any port of your hub. If you do have a router that cares about uplinks then just use a crossover cable between the hub and the router.
