If you're a fan of video game-based humor and heaps of obscenities, then the latest Humble Weekly Sale is for you. Penny Arcade, the crude webcomic written by Jerry Holkins and illustrated by Mike Krahulik, takes center stage this week in an epic game/comic bundle. Tossing in your pocket change will gain you access to episodes one and two of the Hothead Games developed title, On the Rain-Slicked Precipice of Darkness, as well as an e-book titled Penny Arcade Volume 1: Attack of the Bacon Robots.

If you can scrounge up at least $6, you'll unlock two more episodes (3 & 4 developed by Zeboyd Games) and another e-book, Penny Arcade Volume 2: Epic Legends of the Magic Sword Kings. The “Precipice” series takes place within the Penny Arcade universe, and is best classified as an episodic action-adventure RPG. Most of the series revolves around seek-and-find missions, reminiscent of old-school adventure games in which players were forced to locate a variety of items and return them to NPC's or locations. The combat system is a hybrid between Active Time Battle (used in most Final Fantasy titles) and quick-time events where players hit certain buttons in a timed fashion to block and attack.

This week's sale benefits the Child's Play Charity. So far, over 11,000 bundles have been sold, and over $55,000 has been raised to be split between Humble Bundle, the developers, and the charity. If you aren't familiar with the Penny Arcade comic, which has been around since 1998, you can check out the dedicated site here.

Might have bought it if it included the Android versions. I already own 1,2 and 3, so I see no point in buying the bundle as is.
