Hw do find out I have full duplex or not ??

I want to get a mic for my PC for recording purposes, but I don't know about full half duplex. I have an MSI KT4AV board with AC97 sound on it. It seems to work great with all my games and the 4.1 system I have. But before I go drop money on a decent mic. How can find out if I can use it for full duplex as well as just input? thanks

Pretty much anything made since 2002 is full duplex.
