MSI K7N2-delta <~~$98
XP-2800+ (Barton)@2.08Ghz<~~$110
PNY FX-5200ultra<~112
none of witch were bought online
=$320 plus tax mind you
i would say yes you chose well.
i would have chosen a different Video card maker though

I would have either opted for the Radeon 9800 Pro or the Radeon 9600XT. The Radeon 9800ST is about as good as a Radeon 9600.

Asus A7N8X Ultra 400
Sapphire 9800 Pro (Heatpipe)
XP2800 Retail
Crucial RAM

Hehehe nice one.

Back years ago, I upgraded my machine especially for Tomb Raider 1. The recently released (at the time) Matrox Mystique card had a patch out that did something close to 3D acceleration, but not quite.

I love that motherboard. Very stable, has some OC options.

The SE version of the 9800 is typically underclocked compared to the standard, pro, or XT editions. But the price is also less. For a performance boost, I recommend uping the clock, but Radeons typically don't have the best "stock" fans either. If you keep this card and plan on OCing it, put a VGA cooler on it.

What memory are you running? What are you upgrading from?
