  1. For the life of me I am stumped.

I was just given a Dell Latitude C640. I can not get the wireless to work or show up anywhere?

I can not connect to internet via wireless or find setting to see if it is turned on under networking in control panel.

    Look here for the drivers:

Do you know if it is a True Mobile 5000 or 5100? You might want to try updating the BIOS to A10, and the Chipset, as well as the TrueMobile drivers.

But luckily, replacements are cheaply available in the $15 to $20 range on eBay... The wireless card for the Latitude C610, C640, C810, and C840 will all fit and work well with the driver download from Dell.
You can remove and replace the wireless card by access through the removable plate on the bottom on your lattitude, then disconnecting the wires... just be sure you take note of the configuration so you can get the wires back to the right connections when you are done.
    Good luck.
Please let us know how it goes.
