I Cant Install Software-help!!!!!!!!!!!!

  1. Sometimes when I try and install software off CD rom i get the following message-
    "C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. The system is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose 'close' to terminate the application." then there are 2 options- ignore and close.
    if either one of the options is clicked then it doesn't work either way.

    PLEASE HELP

    Autoexec.nt Fix

    Hi Maverick!
    This is the official fix that Microsoft has posted.Do a Google search for Autoexec.nt errors. Select the second entry (Is a microsoft site). Follow the instructions there. I had experienced the same problem and followed their instructions. All fixed. You will have to insert your Windows XP setup CD into your CDROM.
