i cant turn on spdif output!

i found the spdif check box under the advanced options on my mixer program.

anyway i dont have the "digital output only" tab like some computers have.

i have a cheapo crystal 4281 sound card that claims to do spdif but so far i can only get analog out.

i am using windows 2000 pro

any ideas?

is there some codec or something i need?

one thing you would need is a SPdif cable fwhich attaches tot he sound card and runs o the device you want to enable spdif to.
