Hey guys,
I am new to this so please bear with me. I have a DELL Latitude D600
laptop. I am having a problem up loading a new game that works off
my XP system.

It states: VIDEO CARD OR DRIVER DOESN'T SUPPORT SEPERATE
ALPHA BLEND, GLOW WILL BE DISABLED.

The question I have do I need to update my Video card or is there
software I can up load from MSN or Dell ? And what type of Video
card would I need to get and price if I have to go this route. The
game I have uploaded is Call of Duty 4.

Thanks,
Mark

It just means your 3D effects won't be as good as possible. You need alpha blending to get glows that you can see through and still have the background visible. You can't change the video card in that laptop and even the latest drivers won't help.

The Dell Latitude D600 has the ATI® MOBILITY™ RADEON™ 9000 graphics chipset with 32 MB of 64-bit
DDR dedicated graphics memory. Not really a gaming video card.

Ya, I would stick to playing COD4 on your XP system. You would probably be lagging anyway on the laptop.

next time, make sure your system can even run it in the first place. go to systemrequirementslab.com and download their small bit of free software. it scans the parts that are in the system and when you choose a game from their list of games, it will see if you meet the minimum or the recommended requirements. and it even tells you what parts would've been able to run it versus what you have.

it's a good service. i'd suggest using it whenever you're thinking about installing a new game unless you know for SURE you can run it.
