    I have two systems I would like to make a small network in my home, maybe play games like TA . What will I need to link them to gether? The systems are up to date. The OS is XP PRO on them.

    2 network cards if they don't have em alrready
    a good router like linksys

    I don't play games on my machines so can't help there
    you will need to config. software for that ?

    If you dont use broadband and therefore dont need a router, a cheaper way is to use 2 network cards and a cross over ethernet cable, a cable which allows data to be transmitted in both directions.
