I just got Norton Internet Security and it wont install can any1 help me??

    I just got Norton Internet security and im having some problems below is what happens...

    I have tried to install it once it gets past the pre-scan but i get to a point, when i press next and it says "This SMI must be installed in the setup" I reran the isntallation process again after restarting and it says the same thing as it says above(This SMI must be installed in the setup)

    If u have any suggestions on how i could solve that problem and get norton internet security installed i would be very thankful :)

    I have read a few reviews on Win ME/2000,,i would say its very "picky" to say the least,,im sorry i cant offer any help but it might be just that,,,"WindowsME", Maybe it a driver issue, i.e. NIC card,DSL modem driver,resident Internet settings in your OS,,not sure though.
    i have NIS 2004,my only issue was Regestration/activation with Win98SE
