I just ran COMBOFIX -- Big Problems

My system was pretty clean but I was advised to run Combofix to be sure.

Without accidentally running it again and causing more problems including a forced reboot, I have the detail that it is 1,486K in size.

Presently, all of my printers have disappeared.

It's behavior is reckless. It seems to look for specific file name regardless of whether they are infected. In some cases they are valid system files.

Who advised you to run Combofix and why. Also, where did you get it from?

I`ve not seen that particular behaviour before. You`ll need to reinstall your printers.

I can`t see anything there that would account for your printer problems.

I`ll ask you again. Why were you advised to run Combofix in the first place?

From what location did you download Combofix?

Yes this was resolved. There was a rootkit in the program and everyone was told by Howard here at Techspot. It was deleting peoples files ect... this could have happened to you.

Here is the thread, Howard informing everyone that it is now safe to use.

Have you got a system restore point before you installed Combofix? If so you could do a system restore.

Who advised you to run Combofix and why. Also, where did you get it from?

You say you need the help, but you aren't answering the questions asked. Please answer them questions from Howard.

That was from february, when there was a problem with Combofix.

That problem was resolved. There is no longer a problem with Combofix

I have no idea why tri3`s printers have gone missing, but it`s quite possible it was nothing to do with Combofix, as I`ve never seen this behaviour before.
