Can anyone help.... I have tried the 8 step process but I am still being redirected when I search the internet.
I have tried Super anti spyware... Ccleaner... ad aware and this is the log for hijackthis..

Davey, Tmagic is right- we can't do a thing until we see what's on the system. That's where the logs come in. Those 8 steps are meant to be preliminary and don't necessarily mean that running them removes all the malware. That's where we come in to help.

Please follow the steps HERE.

Attach the 3 logs for review when finished.

Malware

Sorry, I thought i had attached the log

Okay, these posts are confusing- seem to be out of order.

Please update AVG. The latest version is v9- you have v8.

Then do the following:
Reopen HijackThis to do system scan only'. Check the following if present:

R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,SearchAssistant =
R3 - URLSearchHook: (no name) - - (no file)

Close all Windows except Hijackthis. Click on "Fix Checked."

Download SDFix HERE and save it to your Desktop.
  • Double click SDFix.exe and it will extract the files to %systemdrive%

Are you still being redirected? The hijackthis log doesn't look bad, but Trojan's often leave things disturbed after they are removed

Yes still being pestered. I am using Google Chrome at the moment because I dont feel safe as it is a work pc and I feel like I'm being watched.... any more help would be great. Thanks

You should have a log for Eset. If you do not, please run it again and include the log it produces.

As for using the Chrome browser, if it had the Google search on it, you will get the redirect using it also. You may feel safer using Chrome- as I do using Firefox- but the malware can still exist.

Please explain:
I feel like I'm being watched

Please update and rescan with the Eset online scanner. Include the log in your next reply.

If you are still getting redirected:
1. Is it to same site?
2. What type are you being directed to?

You still need to update AVG.
