I lost all my music

By ChrisLam
Aug 5, 2007
  1. After recovering from viruses/trojans, using Windows System Restore, I have found all my music gone (or rather not found my music). Now, I want to restore my computer back to when I had the music files, but I have tried many times and not one successful restore. The tries were before I was infected with a virus. Why can't I restore? What other ways can I get back my music?

    open the HD
right click on Documents and Settings\
    search for iTunes Library.itl
when you find one (or more) Open the containing folder
and there should be a file iTunes Music Library.xml
These files control the iTunes presentation

the actual music is stored under iTunes Music\

the iPod loss was a result of attempting to Sync to an empty library -- poor
    programming by Apple :(
