Hello Irishrose, the first female i have seen on this forum.anyway i would suggest that first download any benchmark software like Everest, driver guide,3d mark.etc use it to know the device chip.then go to the manufacturers' site or www.driverguide.com.however i recommend using lavalys Everest ultimate edition.wish u luck.Robin

To find an Ethernet driver for you eMachine T3958
    Go to this site: http://www.emachine-upgraders.info/
    Click on USA Models
    Next click on T-Series
Next find T3958 in the left column. Go over two columns and click on D845GVSR, which is the model of your MB.
Next click on downloads, in the 'Links' box on the left.
Then scroll down and find a download for your Ethernet driver.

Onboard LAN shows N/A for that board at that site despite the download section showing a driver - does your comp have an add-on card? Can you download and copy to your computer Everest Home and try to identify the card?

edit: assuming you have an add-on card, you wouldn't have the install disk about would you? :)

edit: assuming the N/A is N/A, then the driver on the downloads page should be the one - a tad confusing.

    gl anyway

    Irishrose,
Just curious what fixed the problem. Was it that Internet Explorer did not work or did you install an Ethernet driver?
