I need help removing a common virus.

  1. HELP PLEASE. I need help removing a common virus.

I have that stupid PICS ON THE BEACH virus for AIM. I can't open the task manager without it closing after a split second. Please, help me delete this virus. I was doing research on some files that may cause these things to happen, but I can't seem to find them on my computer.

I did a hijack log during safemode. Here are the results.

Tell me if you see anything involving the virus. Thanks.

You'll have to remove one of your Antivirus programs. Running McAfee and Symantec/Norton causes all sorts of internal problems, and no program can do a proper job.
McAfee is included with AOL9. If that is your provider, stick with them and UNinstall Norton. You can use this tool afterwards to clean up: http://www.techzonez.com/boogspics/Norton_Remover_v02.07.rar

If AOL is NOT your provider, UNinstall AOL together with that Mcafee, and learn to live with Norton/Symantec.

Either way, after you have sorted this out:
Go to this post here first, and follow the instructions EXACTLY.
How to remove Begin2Search/Coolwebsearch and Other Nasties
Then see How to post your Hijackthis log-files.
Post a new thread for it in the Misc. Software & Utilities forum.
