I need help setting up Vonage

Hello all,

I am running Linspire 5.0 for my operating system.

I am trying to install Vonage. I can get it to work with one phone fine, but I want to use it with my extension phones. I have a total of 4 phones in my house.

I went to the Vonage site and printed out the step-by-step instructions on how to disconnect my current phone lines. I then plugged one end of my phone cord into the Vonage phone adapter and the other one into the phone jack, but the line is dead.... nothing!

Can anyone enlighten me on how to do this?

I don't think you're posting this in the right forum.
VOIP solutions are independent of your computer let alone Operating System. You may want to consult VOIP hardware forum on how to split VOIP connections.

I have problem like Jane. I just got Vonage phone service, it works fine with two phones connected direcly to Vonage router via a splitter, but when I connect second line from splitter to home wiring, it gives 'Busy" noise. Any helpful hints? Thanks.
