I need help with the Simsgame

I've been playing the Sims and sometimes the game closes without warning. Does anyone know how i can fix this problem?

hello shyblu2004 and welcome to techspot, i had a similer problem as you, i resolvied it by cleaning the cd with a cd cleaner, but i would folloow thses steps,
1. reinstall the game
2. Add any new patches for their web site
3. Make shore your computer can support the game

When you say the game closes, is your computer shutting down completely? Or are you just getting kicked out of the game, and back to windows? How long has it been doing this? Was there a time when you COULD play the game without it shutting down on you? It could simply be a driver needs updating.

We need some stats on your system here.

Do you know what your video card is (make/model) or is it integrated into the motherboard? If so, do you know the make/model of your computer?
