I tried I really tried. The new laptop came with Vista, after many annoying niggles and silly things like the built in camera not working, the last straw came when it would not let me log in and as my daughter was not an administrator I decided to wipe and put on XP Pro.

Other than not being able to track down a couple of drivers on the acer site the machine is working so well.

I will wait a while to try Vista again.
(had to repair/reinstall Vista on my mums new laptop as was unable to fix the Operating System not found. I was trying to convince her that it was good to have a computer!)

Hi

I to got rid of vista when I couldnt get it to join my home Domain, I never got chance to find out if it worked with cameras etc, no doubt it wouldnt have anyway.

I hear more and more are dumping it and going back to XP because of all the problems it has, even XP didnt have this much trouble when it was released.

Regards
