I want to view/copy files from DVR HD

  1. I took the HD out of my Samsung DirecTV DVR and connected it to my PC as a slave (see this thread).
My objective is to burn my South Park collection to DVD without buying a capture card.
I think that my DVR records to its HD in Mpeg-2  but I don't know
As mentioned in that thread, the BIOS setup recognizes the HD as the primary ide slave. Also, in Device Manager, it is listed along with my PC HD, but it still isn't shown in My Computer.

Is it in any way possible to view/copy the files from my DVR HD??
Do DVR's use Fat32 or NTSF file systems?
Why won't my computer assign a drive letter?

Right click My Computer; click manage and you should be able to pick up the drive there...
