IBM working on laser-based chips with speeds of over 1Tbps

  1. IBM has announced it has made new breakthroughs in laser-based chips that can send data at high speeds through computers. The company has made advances in optical communications components using silicon, according to The Wall Street Journal. The experimental IBM chips use lasers to send data in the form of pulses of light.
