  1. Can anyone help me. I have a new computer that has a dvd burner which is connected with sata. My new computer doesn't have ide connections .I was told that you can use a ide/pci card to install another burner via ide connection.

You don't need RAID and you only need one channel (two is the minimum on controller cards). You do need/want ATAPI support stated. And you should do some research on whether the card supports booting from CD-ROM too.
