IDE + SATA on same board

Okay guys I have another question here
I will be buying a new motherboard ... buyer told me it is called [ ASUS 945 ] so will I be able to connect 2 HDDs I got ? first is a 160 GB SATA and the other is a 80 GB IDE ... ??

This one had been argued ad nauseum on techspot. While yes it will work on most systems, some motherboards and configurations will cause problems. I have experienced severe issues with mixed systems so I don't recommend it. Others will tell you it's 100% ok. So go ahead and try it. If you wind up with problems, you'll have to choose between the two types.
