IE6 blank pages

When I run IE6, SP1 on my Dell GX150, Win2K computer, I will occasionally click to a page that shows up blank. This is usually a login screen of some sort (example: the AOL login). If the page shows up blank once, it always shows up blank.

Sometimes when I click the File/Edit with Notepad button, there is a short file with no body but a metafile tag; other times there is no file to edit (aol login page).

Any light that someone could shed on this problem would be appreciated.

Thanks!

since IE uses stored DNS caches it goes to the stored address first rather than actually searching for the page. if the page has been moved then you will either get a long load when IE finally searches for the site OR you end up with a blank page.

what you can try is flushing the DNS cache this will make IE search for the pages again. ( it rebuilds itself)

open a command prompt and type:

ipconfig/flushdns

then press enter. you will receive this message: "sucessfully flushed the DNS resolver cache"
