When I double click the IE icon on my desktop my os (XP HE) seems to hang. After about 20 mins my homepage appears and all seems to work OK from then on.
I don't seem to have any other problems with the system. Outlook Express works fine, and any other software programme can conect to the internet without problem.
There are 2 accounts on the PC, and the problem only occures on one of them (mine).
Any kind sole got any advice please??

Best guess would be its a setting causing it to "hang" (or take long, whatever you ment by that).

Check the settings, one thats different might be causing the problem.

What settings should I look at changing?

I have checked the settings for IE in both accounts and they seem to have the same settings. Task-manager shows cpu usage as 100% when I try to conect in the account that has the problem.
