I've been a fan of Excite for many years and havae
recommended it to lots of people.

NO MORE!!

I had an experience today that totally soured me on Excite.

I had paid $300 to acces a live online investment seminar
and spent several hours working thru software problems to get
reliable access and then Excite goes down!!


And wouldn't you know, it comes back 5 minutes after the
seminar is over!!!
 
Bad luck mate. See if you can contact them, tell them what happened and try and get your money back.
 
Yes, it was of course just that - bad luck,
and I'm sure nothing intentional on their part,
but really bad timing nontheless!

Extremely frustrating!

I contacted the seminar folks and they're going
to make it available to me and the others who
missed it for technical difficulty reasons.
 
Good for you. I hope it is really woth all the trouble.
They sound like they have a good customer relations team, unlike AOL's infamous depatement.
