After having not used the computer for a few day I received the following error:
Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt:
\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM
I use Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition
The boot CD which came with the computer is titled "Operating System" and Including Service Pack 2
I have set the boot order to read Floppy then CD then on board hard drive. Both the disk and floppy disks created using the appropriate program from the Microsoft website have failed to change anything, but they do delay the error screen and I can here them being read.
Any help at all would be most appreciated
