Inaudible Cooling

My friends CPU cooler is stock and it works like and sounds like a really beat up car engine. He doesn't want water-cooling or anything fancy right now just cooling that you can't hear

So can anyone tell me what is the quietest CPU cooler for the 775 socket???

ZALMAN CNPS7700 cools well and is pretty quiet.

You could also get something like the Scythe SCNJ-1000. That can be run without a fan.

Is the Scythe, with fan, better than the Asetek VapoChill Micro (the ultra-low noise version)?
