Good day everyone~! I chanced upon this forum while searching frantically for a fix for the hacktool.rootkit trojan that my Fujitsu laptop was infected with. It started about a month ago when my Norton Antivirus detected the trojan but can't seem to remove it..so it'd constantly pop out to warn me about it, while not being able to do anything about it =( I'm new here and I've read through the sticky "Viruses/Spyware/Malware, preliminary removal instructions", and did exactly as told. However, while in safe mode and running the AVG Anti-Spyware scan, the system rebooted itself after a while, and did so several times on my repeated attempts. So I have no choice but to terminate it prematurely and saved the log as it is. Attached are the HJT scan log, AVG anti-spyware log(prematurely terminated), and the combofix log as instructed. I've also done the AVG anti-rootkit scan but it didn't reveal anything. As I've no prior experience dealing with such a nasty trojan, please do help me take a look at it, and kindly advise me on how I should proceed from here... Thanks so much and have a pleasant day ahead~!!
