Install XP stays to Dos white blinking cursor before boot

Hi all,

I am having a problem when i install windows xp, i have deleted the partition using the windows xp partition tool i have re-create an ntfs partition of 160 gig and quick formated it.

The first stage if the installation of windows will copy the file and reboot. At this reboot, my computer will try to reboot but will stays at the DOS black screen with a blinking cursor, it will stays there forever without starting to boot.

Any help?

restart the comp and install windows again but dont use the quick format, its crap.

Reboot and boot from the CDROM, go the recovery console, enter /fixmbr and reboot. Reinstall windows.
