installation access questions...

is there a way that i can limit/restrict access for the installation and uninstallation of programs on my computer? i know there is a way to do it with users. and you can set administrator with passwords and such...but is there another way i can stop anyone from deleting/uninstalling any programs in the one user profile?

im running xp with a 3gig cpu, with 1gig RAM and an 80gig HDD.

If the user is just an unprivilaged guest, I don't think they'll have this ability (from add/remove programs anyway). But if you want a user to have mostly administrative privilages, but not the ability to install/uninstall, there might be something gpedit for you.

Start / Run / gpedit.msc

Windows is kind of behind on this kind of account control. It's something Linux (And even Apple) users have enjoyed for a long time.
